More Upskilling Success at Grayton

Grayton

We are proud to say that three more of our engineers have recently achieved their goals and qualifications, allowing them to progress in their roles here at Grayton.

Levi Mansfield

Levi Started with us as an Upskilling Pipefitter on 31st July 2023.

On 15th March 2024 he was awarded his ‘Level 3 Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plants and Systems – Pipefitting’.

This was after he had spent all of his time being mentored on site and taught everything by experienced pipefitters. He then had a multiple choice exam and an assessment to sign him off for his NVQ.

Levi is now moving on to be a successful member of the team, and still learning as his career progresses – well done!

Joshua Chase

Josh started with us on 1st November 2021 as an Apprentice Welder.

On 16th January 2024 he was awarded his ‘Plate Welder Level 3 Apprenticeship’.

This was after a three year long apprenticeship (the start was served with another company), studying at North Lindsey College and working onsite alongside his welding mentors within Grayton.

At the end, he had to take an End Point Assessment (EPA). For his EPA he had to be observed welding and his welds tested. He had a multiple choice exam and a professional discussion with the assessors to determine whether he was competent.

Josh is now a well sought after member of the team, with many supervisors/managers requesting him for jobs because of how successful he has become!
