Matt Small – A new World Champion!

After months of preparation, Matt Small, QA Manager for Grayton competed in the British Powerlifting Federation and World Powerlifting Championships in Coventry on November 10th, with the goal of becoming a world champion.

Competing in the Masters 2 category for Bench Press, Matt achieved an incredible lift of 210kg, setting a new Federation World Record and securing the title of World Champion!

This victory automatically qualifies Matt for three major competitions in 2025: the British, European/Commonwealth, and World Championships. 

Next year’s World Championship will be held in India at the end of November, and preparation for 2025 are already underway, with Matt continuing his training at Warriors Gym in Barton.

All of us at Grayton are incredibly proud of Matt and his remarkable achievement! 

We’ll be cheering him on every step of the way as he embarks on his journey toward 2025 success!
